Have you ever felt GUILTY or ashamed about your use of - or thinking about - alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, sex, work, spending, gambling, etc.? ("I better not tell anyone that I ...")
Have you ever used alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, sex, work, spending, gambling, etc. to help get your EMOTIONS settled or numb out feelings of guilt, shame, pain, fear or loneliness? ("I just want one drink - or one hit or one orgasm - and I'll feel better.")
